Electric motors & inverters

In Europe, about 65% of industrial electricity consumption is due to consumption by electric motors.

The increase in electricity prices in recent years has raised costs significantly, eroding the competitiveness of enterprises, in particular in manufacturing sectors.

The installation of high efficiency electric motors and the adoption of electric devices to produce alternating current (inverters), through which a variation of the rotation speed of the electric motors is achieved, allow significant reductions in consumption.

Enerqos’ proposal

  • Selection and installation of high efficiency electric motors and inverters on the basis of a detailed analysis of the consumption and requirements of the customer
  • Financial solution customized to the specific requirements of the customer
    • Financing through Enerqos and a sharing of the savings, with a maintenance contract for a period of 3 to 5 years
    • Co-investment by Enerqos and the customer and a sharing of savings, with a maintenance contract for a period of 3 to 5 years
    • Customer’s own investment with the option of a maintenance contract
  • Consulting regarding access to all possible incentives available at regional, national and European level

Benefits for the customer

  • Increase in business competitiveness through immediate reduction in energy costs thanks to the installation of high efficiency electric motors and inverters
  • Optimization of financial resources through access to different solutions, or qualified assistance in accessing credit, with no initial outlay
  • Technological solution customized to the needs of the customer with the installation of the best electric motors and inverters available on the market without contractual ties to suppliers
  • Optimization of the various planning and operational phases with Enerqos’ proven experience of project-management
  • Medium to long term support from trusted and highly qualified partner
  • Improvement in the customer’s ‘green’ image

* The IEC 60034-30 October 2008 standard defines three classes of International Efficiency (IE) for three-phase asynchronous electric motors:
IE1 = standard efficiency (efficiency levels roughly equivalent to EFF2 in Europe today)
IE2 = high efficiency (efficiency levels roughly equivalent to EFF1 in Europe today)
IE3 = premium efficiency (new efficiency class in Europe today)
